Basic CSS Calculator
The Swim Smooth Basic CSS Calculator allows you to input your 400 and 200 freestyle times to simply calculate your CSS pace per 100. Doing so allows you to determine a single pace benchmark that all other training zones can be based off. If this number improves, you can be assured that you’ll be well on the road to swimming faster over any distance above 400.
Dynamic Training Plans
Having the GURU create a Dynamic Training Plan specifically for your needs and goals is as simple as identifying whether you wish to complete a particular event (e.g. the Rottnest Channel Swim), train up for an event of a specific distance, or just set a program for general fitness and the simple goal of improvement.
Advanced CSS Calculator
In addition to the Basic Calculator, with the Advanced CSS Calculator the GURU will determine your Performance Predictions over a sequence of increasing distances and popular event distances, determine your 10 Week CSS Development Plan, calculate your Red Mist Cycles and allow you to save the information as part of your record such that every session you undertake will have the exact training pace determined for you to elicit the greatest gains.
Our Full Technique Session Library
Once you’ve started to swim your first few laps of efficient freestyle, it’s time to start incorporating the drills and technique work your learned in the 12-Step Learn to Swim Program into a more structured session. All of our sessions can be scaled to your needs - so don’t panic if you see a 3,000m Pure Technique Session upon first browse, this can easily be scaled down to something much more manageable whilst still retaining the essence of that session.
Swim Type Guides
Follow these step-by-step processes to work on your individual stroke faults in the most optimised way possible. Because each Swim Type has a different level of experience (and often a distinct personality) you'll find we've set the level and tone of the sessions at the perfect level for you!
Fault Fixers
Here at Swim Smooth we believe in correcting the cause of the fault, not necessarily always the effect. For example, often when your arm crosses over the centre line at the front, this causes a scissor kick. Instead of getting you to do lots of kicking drills, we adjust your posture, which also has numerous other benefits to your stroke, not just correcting the crossover. Select the right Fault Fixer and get well on your way to efficient swimming technique in just one session!
